Dusti Rowden, Technician Maintenance Fitter at Worsley Alumina

Dusti started at Worsley Alumina in Western Australia as a cleaning contractor before taking on a process operator traineeship and later completing a mechanical fitter apprenticeship. Now a qualified mechanical fitter in the major shutdowns team, she has stepped into leadership as a supervisor and is also a trained health and safety representative.

Felicidade has worked at Mozal Aluminium in Mozambique for 14 years and thrives on the challenges of her role, valuing the opportunities �羺������̳ provides to develop her skills and grow in her career.

“In the past, I was shy and reserved, but today I feel more confident and empowered, with the regular Active Bystander training sessions playing a big role in this transformation.

Jayne Finch, Manager Project Integration at Hermosa

Jayne recently joined �羺������̳ at our Hermosa Project in Arizona and is passionate about helping teams work together effectively. She focuses on ensuring different parts of a project are well connected, so risks and opportunities are identified early, and teams can collaborate to find the best solutions.

“Inclusion means finding what we have in common rather than focusing on differences. It takes a little more time, but it’s always worth the effort.

“We can create a more inclusive workplace by valuing people for what they can contribute rather than what they have done before. Encouraging diverse thoughts and opinions helps new perspectives be heard and valued.”
